Shipping policy

This policy applies to all purchases made through the Dragon’s Dream 3D online store (Simple By Design Ltd trading as Dragon’s Dream 3D).

We are based in the United Kingdom, all physical goods are dispatched from the UK.

Model Production & Dispatch

All our models are printed on demand to ensure high-quality production. We aim to dispatch all orders within 14 business days of purchase, with most orders shipping within five days, depending on the size and complexity of the order. Processing times may vary based on:

  • Order volume
  • Time of year (e.g., holidays and peak seasons)
  • Size and quantity of your order

⚠️ Please note: Any estimated delivery times apply only after your order has been printed, not from the time of purchase.

We will contact you with an updated timeframe if we anticipate a delay beyond 14 business days.

Packaging

We take great care in packaging our models to ensure they arrive in excellent condition:

  • Models are boxed and wrapped in tissue paper for added protection.
  • Bases may be shipped in envelopes or padded Jiffy bags where applicable.

Our packaging is designed to be eco-friendly—from the boxes to the paper tape used for sealing—helping to reduce environmental impact.

Shipping & Couriers

  • We use Royal Mail as our standard shipping provider.
  • If you prefer an alternative courier, please contact us before ordering so we can provide a quote for the requested service.
  • International orders are shipped with tracking by default.

UK Orders:

  • Orders under £20 are shipped with proof of postage.
  • Orders over £20 are upgraded free of charge to Royal Mail 48-hour service with tracking.
  • Orders over £35 qualify for free shipping, sent via Royal Mail with tracking.

Lost or Damaged Orders

If an order is lost or damaged in transit, we will work with the customer to reach a satisfactory resolution. This may include:

  • A full or partial refund
  • Replacement models sent free of charge

⚠️ Notification of damaged items must be made immediately after delivery.

Returns & Refunds

We accept returns and refunds, subject to the following conditions:

  • You must notify us within 14 days of receiving your order.
  • Returns for items that are not damaged on delivery are at the customer’s expense.
    • International returns may include additional customs fees such as taxes and duties.
  • The refund will cover:
    • The cost of the item(s) as billed
    • The original postage cost
    • Only if items are returned in their original condition and undamaged

⚠️ Special or custom orders are not eligible for returns or refunds unless damaged on delivery, unless otherwise agreed with Dragon’s Dream 3D.

Taxes, Import Duties & International Shipping

We ship worldwide, including the Europe, United States, Canada, Australia, and other countries. 

  • Prices on our website do not include local taxes, import duties, or other government fees such as tariffs (US tariffs are included). These may be assessed by your local customs authorities, and you will be responsible for any such charges.
  • We are not IOSS registered, this may affect sending to some countries (such as France), where we have to declare on shipping who is responsible for duties etc, as above this is the responsibility of the customer. To avoid this, you may order via our Etsy store. If an item is not listed, please contact us and we can add it for you.
  • Details on further taxation and import duties can be found in our Terms & Conditions.
  • Alternative purchasing options: We also sell through Etsy and eBay, where taxes and duties are handled by the marketplace at checkout.

If you are located in Germany, please note that Dragon’s Dream 3D complies with the German Packaging Act (VerpackG):

  • Our company is registered with the Stiftung Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister (ZSVR) under registration number DE4896691861132.
  • Our Dual System Licensing partner for packaging collection, sorting, and recycling is ACTIVATE by RECLAY.
  • Please ensure that all received packaging is disposed of correctly in designated paper, cardboard, and label recycling containers.
